Saturday night we had a get together to celebrate Jan's birthday. It was fun to see Jan, Darcey and Monica again after so long. Jan announced they are moving to Houston in the spring. We will all be sad to see them go. It is nice having Virginia friends here in Utah.
Carter went to the Jazz game with Byron and his Junior Jazz basketball team. They had a great time. Carter bought a bag of cotton candy to share with his team mates. As he walked in the door after the game he promptly informed me I owed him 8 bucks to reimburse him for entertaining his friends. Great. He also told me he was glad he could go because he knew it was a special thing to do with his dad. So, the sweetness made up for the sassy and he got his 8 bucks.
Carter loves to play chess. Unfortunately for me he is getting pretty good and if I don't pay attention he can beat me. I hate it when he beats me and it doesn't happen often but oh the joy of a victory over your Mom. There is nothing like it. Our competitions are so fierce you can see they draw a crowd.
Every once in a while I am sitting in church and look at my kids and think, man they need new church clothes. Carter's pants were fading and we had already let out the bottom cuff and resown the crotch that came loose. Tyler's still fit okay but had little white fabric pills stuck all over the black fabric from the drier I guess. So, we took them on a church clothes shopping trip. You would not believe how excited they were to pick out new Sunday clothes. They were looking so handsome we had to snap a photo of them.
We took some of our cousins with us to Kangaroo Zoo. They have a great time jumping and sliding and running and being crazy for a few hours. You win lots of favorite aunt points when you take go to kangaroo zoo. When we got there Ali would only play in the bounce house as she was afraid of all the other blown up animals. This is about her fifth time there and somehow magically she got brave enough to go on all of the slides except the dragon. She even touched this red blow-up crab that has been scaring her for 6 months now. I was so proud and really it was cute to see how proud she was of herself.
Ali getting ready to go outside for a walk with Byron and the dog. Don't ask me why she decided she needed the goggles to see better. She continued to wear them for nearly three days before they were "lost." It's a good for a chemist and it did give me a lot of good laughs.

Looks like you have had a lot of fun lately. Bridger is in the chess club at his school, I keep trying to play him but he gets bored with me reading the instructions from a book. How fun to play with Carter.
Your kids are SO cute! I loved seeing the VA people too :)
