Adventure is never far away when you are a boy. Carter, Tyler and their friend Payton headed over to the golf course for some good old collecting and selling of golf balls. A favorite past time for easy money. When they got back Carter told me he had hit his head on a tree and there was a bump. Well that is what happens when you bump your head on a tree, right. Anyway after a few more minutes he came back in to tell me it was really hurting so I asked if I should look at it. Turns out a little tree had broken off in his head. I tried to pull it out but that was no good so off we went to the InstaCare. They gave him a little numbing gel and were able to yank it out with pliers. Poor kid was not excited about the whole visit to the doctor. He was a trooper though and was especially cooperative when they told him there wouldn't be any shots involved. Ahhh, the miracle of modern science. The worst part was when they rinsed the thing out with some saline solution to clean up the hole. He came out of it okay and even got a trip to Salt City Burgers out of it for a cheesburger, milkshake and sweet potato fries, yumm! Come to find out when we got home his friend Payton fell while at the course and lost his glasses somehow. So all in all they made two bucks but lost a pair of glasses and earned a trip to InstaCare, I think they didn't actually come out ahead on this one.This is the little stick stuck in his head. I could feel the outline of the stick was didn't want to mess with the head area....
