February....looking forward to vacation!!!

So you have got to check out Ali's bun in this photo. I was terrified of doing her hair in a bun for ballet but I saw a post on pinterest about how to make a bun for getting good curls. I followed their easy technique and it actually worked really well. She had the most professional looking bun there. Phew!

Ski day at Alta with Sonja, Christopher, Rachel, Papa and Grandma Livsey. We had a great time skiing with the extended family up at Alta. It is fun to watch all the kids zoom down the hill together. They are quick the pack of ski bunnies.

Byron and I rode up the lift together alone for the first time since we brought Carter eight years ago. So nice!!! I love finding myself alone with my honey. It seems like such a rare treat.

Tyler in the lodge using his time wisely. He just finished Harry Potter 3 and is onto 4. There is no stopping this turbo reader.

My latest project. Thanks to pinterest which I am now wasting time on....I saw this idea on there and had to copy it. I love how it turned out!!! I just need to get them hung now.

So yes it is February and it is freezing cold everyday and the snow never melts and it is dark and inverted and pretty ugly here but it's all good because we are going on vacation. Just Byron and I which makes it so relaxing....ahhhh! After nearly fourteen years of marital bliss I finally convinced him that Hawaii would be a fun trip. So we are going soon which gives me hope I will make it through the winter. Once we get back it will nearly be march and then it is practically spring, so we are almost done with winter....right?
My embracing winter goal has been good this year. We have skied and ice skated a lot and had lots of winter fun. Sledding, walks in the snow at the golf course. I have really tried to have a better overall attitude. It has been good but that doesn't mean I can't be excited for spring. I have even already placed my first flower order from my mail catalogs. Can't wait for that shipment!!!
