Tyler's Birthday

Tyler turned 8 in March. I am behind but trying to catch up on the blogging. He had a fun party with his friends from school. They went to the movies on the opening day of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Rodrick Rules. I have never watched for tickets a week in advance for a movie before but I managed to obtain 8 of them only to find out the movie didn't even end up being sold out. Ugh. Being a mom sometimes isn't easy. We bought a bucket of popcorn and the kids had a great time. McDonald's before hand for ice cream and presents. It was a fun and fairly low stress birthday. Just my style.

Tyler picked Texas Roadhouse for his dinner with the family. For our family dinner the birthday boy gets to pick what we do for dinner. Tyler remembered Ali's Texas Roadhouse dinner last year and wanted his own. He really enjoyed that hamburger.

And the best of all....they woke us up at 5:45 in the morning to open Tyler's birthday presents. Funny they were still so exited since they found the box in my bedroom and already knew what he was getting. Well, the boys got their XBOX 360 and couldn't have been happier, seriously I don't think anything could have made them happier. They loved it and went down to set it up. Byron and I grateful our kids are computer/tech geniuses went back to bed. They managed on their own and got in a few hours of playtime before school began. Tyler had a great birthday and we are so lucky to have him!!
