We got an invite to help ourselves to the Matheson's bumper crop of cherries. We did not hesitate to jump on that one. We had a great time picking cherries and enjoying a bit of summer together.
We were very pleased with our pick. Unfortunately we were all leaving town in two days so we only picked a few. We didn't have time for them to really get ripe but I busted out my cherry pitter and whipped out this cherry pie. It looks way better than it tasted. Disappointed. I was so disappointed.
Byron and I got all dressed up to go to a wedding for a co-worker of his. He rented a tux and I had to buy an evening gown, (didn't own one.) It felt like we were straight out of Downton Abbey. Fun times with my handsome hubby. We even kicked it up on the dance floor.
This wedding was a really fun send-off for all of us. The boys are heading off to scout camp for two weeks so the girls decided they were not sticking around these parts and got tickets for Ireland. Adventures ahead! Love Summer!!!
