Kate was happy sitting in a puddle building sand castles. We all took time helping her dig her swimming pool.
Ally giving me a smile even though she didn't want to.
This photo sums up Ally and my relationship perfectly. Me gritting my teeth and trying to hang on, Ally diving straight ahead with a smile and loudness coming out of her mouth. Ally was a little tentative at first on the paddle boards. She warmed right up to the idea after about ten seconds.
I love watching Chuck show off. He is pretty good at it. I love even more watching Tyler trying to copy him. I stopped trying to copy Chuck long ago.
Tyler trying to do a handstand on his paddle board. That is pretty much as far as he got.
Love this photo of Lisa and Luke. He is happy hanging out on the end of a stable board.
We had a great morning playing in the water.
Freckles galore on this nose. Cute sunshiny Ally.
Trying to get a shot of those lashes.
Carter had had it. He took a nap in the shade tent while we explored the waters edge.
I knew Byron would want to do some fishing after our lake time but he's not into the big lakes. We found a little dot on the map labeled Birch Creek and took off for it. It was much further than we had originally thought it would be. The kids and I didn't want to fish but we did want to swim after walking up the hill to get to the lake. We paddled out and had a fun time pushing each other into the lake. We scared off the few fishermen that were nearby. Then Byron and Jason took a turn and did a little fishing.
We went on a little walk around the lake while we were waiting for the brothers. The rock cliffs were really cool looking. We also spied a bunch of mud swallow nests hanging off the cliff edges. Pretty cool to see. There was also tons of swallows flying around.Trying to get a shot of those lashes.

Cheesy Tyler. Wouldn't give me a good smile. Dang kids.
