January 2019

We headed to Dallas to celebrate a bit of the holidays with Byron's folks. Hollie and her family and Jason and his family all flew in as well. Chris wasn't out on a job so everyone was there....right, family photos. Luckily we keep our photographer on retainer so she's available at the drop of a hat.
Hollie always does a spectacular job with the photos....these aren't hers, they are the ones I took on my iPhone....hers are professional. Can't you see the professional piano bench we brought for her to elevate on?
This is a photo of a special little club the Pollan family has. It's the red headed club and it is growing. Conner has joined the crew with his addition of red hair. We're nearly certain it is going to come in thick and red very very soon.
The Pollan men....They are looking sharp.
We took in a little hockey game while we were in Dallas. We also purchased a few new pairs of hockey skates.
Happy New Year, Tyler and Ally both plunged into the pool, semi polar plunge style. They said it was cold even though it wasn't Montana cold.

Sadie, Ally and Eden are sporting their pajamas.

Tyler and Eden are working on making treats in the kitchen.
Ally joined the basketball squad and is practicing her jump shot. I love to watch her from the kitchen window while I do dishes. Penny is a pretty good defender. Ally has to work hard to keep the ball.
We love getting photos of Carter from the mission. He sends them in his weekly letters. He is with Elder Bird, Elder Jorgenson and I don't know the fourth one. We are so proud of Carter but we do miss him tremendously.
Cross country skiing this morning on the fresh snow. We had a few cars drive off the road and into our property. Be careful out there, the roads are pretty bad.
MTC photos of Carter.

We got ourselves up to Big Mountain for a little winter fun. It is so pretty up at the top looking out onto Whitefish. You can see Byron to the left of me, Tyler at the right and Ally is the speck right above my helmet.
Here she is on the court learning a new sport. It was so fun watching Ally in her first few games. You could actually watch her think and try to figure out what she was supposed to be doing. It's different when soccer is so second nature to her now watching her work at figuring a game out. She'll be a great basketball player.
Tyler working the trombone section at their holiday concert. I love it when I can get a good line of sight during a concert. So many times I can't even see my kid playing.
Cupcake Wars for young women tonight. The beehives did an awesome job. Everyone would make a cupcake based on a theme. Then they would decide on which two they thought should go to the table for judging. The judges would pick the top cupcake. It was tough! The girls did an amazing job. This was animal themes and Samara made a giraffe and Ally made a narwal.

Personal progress night at dairy queen. We each got a treat and then we worked on as many achievements as we could in an hour. We got a few things passed off and the girls had fun.
