Nanna Pollan leaves tomorrow? What? She gracious offered to keep the kids while we took off up to Park City for a little getaway. Can't say no to that!!! Byron and I love heading to Park City. We stayed at our favorite, Park City Hotel. This was the first time we stayed in the main Hotel and not a little cabin. It was awesome. I was worried it wouldn't be as nice but we were not disappointed. We had a main floor room and the hot tub and swimming pool were right outside our door. We ate at Bangkok Thai, because where else would you eat in Park City. Love their Masama Curry and Pad Thai dishes. Actually we have never had anything that wasn't super delicious. Looked around the shops for a minute. Went to see the movie Jim's Vermeer at the Sundance Theater in the Library. This movie may have changed my life as an artist. I loved it so much. I have never been so impressed with a film before. I literally could not stop talking about it for like two days. I think I drove Byron crazy. We had a fun time and love it when we get the chance to ditch our kids (which we love dearly) and head out on our own. Love that boyfriend of mine.
Guess what? Eighteen months goes by fast when it's not your actual daughter out there working the mission field of New York South. This little Spanish speaking missionaryanista is home! So excited to see her and talk with her and hug her and ahhhh, she's back.
It felt like an eternity waiting for her to come off that plane. So happy to have her home. She loved her mission and gave an amazing homecoming talk. What an experience to get to go out there and experience life. Teach people about Jesus and hopefully serve lots and make the world a better place because you were in it. Amanda rocked that mission field.
My first little daughter! I have loved Amanda for a very long time. She made a very determined missionary!
My Dad taking a picture of me taking picture of everyone else. He is becoming quite the iPhone guy.
My cute parents. Love them so much! They are so excited to get Miss A home for a few minutes before she rushes off to college again.
