In the evening when her Dad finished work we had a trip to the pet store to fulfill. She came along to pick out all the stuff she would need for her bearded dragon. She had already fallen in love with Sammy earlier in the week when we were pricing everything out. He called to her through the glass and they were instant buddies. Luckily he was still there when we got there to actually buy a dragon.
I don't think she could be happier. She has wanted this little pet for at least two years now. Way to persevere and not give up on your dreams. Let's hope she always works this hard to get what she wants in life. There will be no stopping her.
Her dress came in the mail for the big wedding!!! She loves the flower in the bottom. Very cute!
Ty has been widdling on this stick for a while now. He's working hard at it and has only cut his fingers a little. Phew!
Ally is enjoying her bearded dragon friend.
Twenty minutes a night. Sometimes it's hard to get through twenty minutes before you fall asleep.
AND......they're in! Carter dropped off his papers this afternoon. We are in a race to get them back by the time Byron's folks come for the wedding. We are wanting to have his Eagle Award Ceremony while the whole family is in town. Even Jacob and Chris are coming to town for Jason's wedding so we could get a really good group.
This is my painting group I go to class with. Diane Turner has been teaching all of us for years now and I just love her. She is so sweet and a great critic. If I could see with her eyes I would be amazing by now. She reminds me there is a time for everything, just be patient. Also, KISS-keep it simple stupid.
In Hawaii on our search for a dolphin for Ally we found this adopt a dolphin program. We of course adopted her a dolphin and she just got the certificate in the mail. She can go online and see where her dolphin has been sited recently. It's pretty awesome. She thought it was a great gift. We also gave her a stuffed dolphin.
Ally had to bury a few of our birds last month when they passed away. Sometimes babies don't make it. She did a gorgeous job with their headstones and the flowers. They were sent off in style.
Carter has been working hard at the styro-slicer project he saw on you-tube. He has saved money, taken multiple trips to the hardware store and persevered through mishaps. He got it. He can now slice up his styrofoam into shapes for his forge. This kid and his projects! He's amazing.
