September 2015

Kate and I worked on a little pumpkin art project while I was babysitting her. It turned out great.
Tyler with his fall soccer team. They had a fun fall season.

Tyler working on some project or another. This kid loves the garage and he loves getting good and dirty.

These are what is left of my Honeycrisp apples after I so generously shared with the local deer population. I kept meaning to get up on the hill and move the fence out so it protected more of the tree but never got around to it. I guess they just couldn't resist my delectable apples because they ate all but four which will be protected in this glass enclosed cake pan for safe keeping.

World War II fighter pilot that spoke to us about his experiences in the war and his outlook on life as a result. Be nice people that's his big advice and I like it.

Ally had a field trip to the Bountiful Park for Constitution Day. It was fun to go with them and learn some history.

More hiking photos. Loving this awesome fall weather!

Triplet baby birds. We were so surprised when after having our zebra finches for a few days Lele laid an egg. It fell to the bottom of the cage and cracked. We quickly ran out and bought a nesting box and she laid three more eggs, one a day. We were so excited. Started doing a bunch of internet research and found out it takes about two weeks for eggs to hatch out. Then one day we looked in and one egg had hatched. By the end of the day all three were hatched out and we were in awe at the ugliness of the little caterpillar looking babies. We thoroughly enjoyed watching them grow and change so rapidly. The photo on top is day one, the photo to the left is about five days old. They are darling little hideous creatures!
This is my stack of blankets I crocheted for the Festival of the Trees this year. They raise money for Primary Children's Hospital. I was on a committee this fall and worked the festival a bit just after Thanksgiving. It took a bit of time to get these ready but they were super soft and sold on day one.
