Tactical Shooting Event

The much anticipated event finally arrived. We had a great time working with a master shooter. He gave us lots of information and we didn't embarrass ourselves. Well, I didn't embarrass myself, there was never any question about Byron's shooting abilities. We are now both sharp shooters so watch out. I am eating lunch out of the back of a trunk again with a gun on my hip. Sometimes I wonder what has become of me.

There is something in our wall. Jessie has been stalking it for ages. We did a little research bought a few traps and caught ourselves a GIANT RAT. What? How is that even possible? We put out a bit of cat proof poison and hopefully that will be the end of it. I can't believe the rodents we have in our yard! Voles, mice, snakes, rats, bobcats, where do we live anyway?

Ally is back at it. She is in fourth grade with Ms. Thompson as her teacher. Ms. Thompson grew up in our ward and we know her as Corrine Hardcastle before she got married last summer. Ally has her best friend India in her class and is very pleased with how the year looks to be panning out. This crew of cute soccer players are heading into their fall season. Watch out they are getting good.We went to lunch for Deborah's birthday and we were showing my Mom a You-Tube video. She was laughing so hard at it I had to take a photo. Technology, you've got to love it.

So, I got finches. They are Zebra Fiches, a male and a female. They are so cute and not too noisy. They share the bedroom with Byron and I. We named them Cheeks, (male with orange cheeks) and Lele, (female) The female is Lele after Ukulele my favorite instrument to play currently.

I managed a little crop of tomatoes. my method is plant the tomatoes up on the hill, Latch the fence closed and walk away until late August when I go to see what I grew. Yeah me! I got a few. Tomato soup for dinner.
